Built 1736 – Restored 2009
The original Dock Street Theatre opened in 1736 and was the first building designed for theatrical use in the Americas. Interior preservation of plaster walls and ceilings. Extensive preservation of ornate cornice at the Grand Staircase as well as preservation of rosette medallion at Wadsworth Room while the remaining ceilings was demolished and replaced. Exterior work included restoration of historic stucco.
